Job description | Operating Department Practitioner
We are seeking skilled Band 7 Operating Department Practitioners for various temporary positions. The role involves providing high-quality care during the perioperative period, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key responsibilities
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre.
· Provide care to patients before, during and after surgery.
· Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to emergencies.
· Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
· Degree or diploma in Operating Department Practice.
· Registration with the HCPC.
· Experience in a Band 7 role or equivalent.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
